Description
Pier Luigi Colli (1895–1968) was an Italian designer and furniture maker best known for his refined, artisanal approach that blended modernism, classicism, and high craftsmanship.
He worked primarily in Turin, where he ran the family firm Colli Casa, active since the late 1800s.
Master of decorative luxury — Colli’s work is known for exquisite detailing: hand-forged iron, carved wood, verre églomisé, lacquer, gilt accents, and high-quality upholstery.
Mix of styles — His designs merge Neoclassical, Baroque, and early modernist elements, making them distinctive in the Italian design landscape of the 1930s–1950s.
Collaborations — He often worked with artists and craftsmen in Turin, including metalworkers and glass artisans.
Collectible today — His furniture (especially consoles, mirrors, wrought-iron pieces, and cabinets) is highly sought after in the vintage and mid-century market.
